Nick Mitzevich became the sixth director of the National Gallery of Australia (NGA) in July 2018. Nick is a passionate believer in art as a driver for change and is leading an enhanced program of education for all ages and community engagement at the NGA. His mission is to have the NGA recognised as a truly national institution, leading the national cultural agenda and delivering its mandate for all Australians through the expansion of its online presence and its travelling exhibitions program.
